LyricStudio is built on generation: it will offer lines and produce whole lyrics on demand. Ilena follows another philosophy. You remain the author. It steps in when you want it to, from what you have written, with suggestions you are always free to take, ignore or turn into something else.
The difference is fundamental: LyricStudio can write for you. Ilena tries instead to help you write better, without taking your place.
LyricStudio holds some functional advantages today — generating whole lyrics, sharing projects between collaborators, and fuller chord handling in the editor. Project sharing is on Ilena’s roadmap, in the Studio plan. Generating whole lyrics automatically is not, and that is deliberate.
Where Ilena asserts its own character is in the richness of the writing environment. French, English and Spanish can live in one account, with tools made to explore the language rather than simply produce text: definitions, antonyms, word families, lexical fields, emotion analysis, and language tools shaped for each language.
To which one commitment is added: your texts stay yours, and are never used to train a model.
Both products put their tools inside the writing space and both recognise that your work is yours. But they do not accompany you in the same way.
Where the verdicts come from: the Ilena column is hands-on use of the shipped product. The LyricStudio column is desk research on the vendor’s own public site, observed on 2026-08-12 and not re-read since. A question mark means that site does not document the criterion; it is not a claim that the feature is missing.

LyricStudio does; that is its main feature. Ilena does not: it assists with rhymes, synonyms, syllable counts and analysis, and every word stays yours.
LyricStudio’s site documents English tools and states no French or Spanish support. Ilena’s language tools work in French, English and Spanish, within one account.
LyricStudio offers shared projects today. On Ilena they are coming soon, and version history is already there.
